What a hanok does with light
A hanok filters daylight through paper-screened windows and deep eaves. Rooms stay bright without glare during the day, and dim naturally as the sun drops — which is why little artificial light is needed.
Bowls drawn from the moon jar
Our tableware was made for us, taking the moon jar as its motif. The shape was decided around how the broth reads once the bowl is on the table.
A room for fermentation
We make our own jangajji and jang. There is a separate fermentation room in the restaurant for that work.
Corners worth a photograph
There are spots throughout the room set aside for photographs. Rather than adding traditional ornament, we left the grain of the wood and the light as they are.
